This piece is part of a collection of pedagogical works for piano inspired by Latin American dances and rhythms. Party in San Pelayo is a porro –dance from the Colombian Caribbean Region– with a happy and partying character, in which the three typical sections of the porro are included: dance, development and bozá. This piece emphasizes the development and awareness of the articulations and technical elements such as finger independence and bridge support. Level 7.

The piano part is the same as the piano solo version in this orchestral version.

Instruments: 1 Flute, 1 Clarinet in Bb, 1 Horn in F, 1 Trumpet in Bb, 1 Piano, 5 Violin I, 5 Violin II, 3 Viola, 2 Cello, 1 Double Bass.
