Daniel Vega | Pedagogue
My passion for education and pedagogy became evident from the time I was a musician in training, a period in which I already had students under my tutelage. Since those first experiences I have searched and experimented with strategies and methodologies that have allowed my students to learn in a pleasant, clear and efficient manner.
One of the methodological strategies that characterizes my teaching is the composition of pieces for skill and concept development in accordance to the specific needs and tastes of each student. Through this means a conscientious and efficient musical evolution is achieved, while maintaining student motivation.
You can find examples of these in my collection of pedagogical works for piano.
Philosophy
Three of the fundamental aspects of my philosophy as an educator are as follows:
1. Talent is not something with which you are born, but is educated and developed–as suggested by the Suzuki method.
2. Each student has a unique way of learning, therefore, a particular methodological strategy must be designed for each person.
3. Sparking the desire to learn in each student is fundamental to the training process.
Pedagogical Works
I've based my teaching in the creation of pieces according to the specific needs and tastes of each student.
